“Unsure about going in the water, noticing no one else in the water but being tempted by the person I was with. Jumping off the cliff into the violent waves immediately regretting the decision but then being pulled out to sea into the waves from the huge channel of flood water pouring out from the river. Wanting to get out straight away but the huge waves were too big to surf. Note I managed to get out after what felt like an hour and sat on the cliff edge to recover with a warm flask of tea!”
“Writing has been my whole life for my whole life. There is not a time in which I did not associate my identity with pen to paper. My childhood notebooks are black with scrawl, pages shaped into assemblages of half-formed thoughts and sentences that may hold meaning somewhere else. It was my favorite hobby, spent in stolen minutes between classes, a clandestine cipher imparted upon page margins, an infantile translation of vivid flashes of dreams.”
