“A lot of people would focus on New York City, where there is incredible diversity, constant movement, “concrete jungle” really does it justice. But when I think about a happy place in NY, I always think about the Catskills. Lush and green. The light shines through the trees and illuminates everything in pale green. Everything feels alive – but in a different way than the city does. The Catskills breathe determination in a way that challenges you to take on the next bit of trail.
When you step out into the rush of Manhattan, it’s overwhelming, towering, noisy, almost scary; you feel so small. But then you absorb the vibrancy, the colours, the fusion of cultures, the fashion, the action, the excitement, the smell of fresh pretzels.. and your scared feelings diminish.”
