“Vast mountains and oceans – we’ve got them! Sunsets – the sky is bigger, so you see a lot of colors and cotton ball clouds. Historical feel to many parts of the state that lean into traditions from years past. In Greensboro, they have a holiday run called “Running of the balls” and an entire neighbourhood strings Christmas lights that are balls made out of chicken wire. Hundreds of people run the race and all the money goes to the communities food bank. That event is very multidimensional, colorful, and surreal.”
